HALAL DOCUMENTATION VERIFICATION

INTRODUCTION

Documents and records are important for any quality system including Halal Assurance System. Boths play roles as evidence of the system implementation. The Halal treat to the Halal Assurance System nowadays is not only from the raw material and processes but also documentation.

Fake documents, invalid or was altered intentionally due to some reason may jeopardy the Halal system. This can be avoided by doing documentation verification for the authenticity. The verification is the process of verifying the authenticity of a document at the first place.

Lack of understanding on how to properly verify the information in the documents can bring Halal treat to the Halal Assurance System. With the variety of documents involved in the Halal certification, it is crutial for the Halal Executive or Internal Halal Committee to have proper understanding on the verification process.

Ms. Azurah hold a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) focused in Food Science and Microbiology from School of Biological Sciences, University of Surrey. She has more than 16 years experience in the professional Halal training & coaching industry. Her area of expertise are in Halal Assurance Management System (HAS), Halal Internal Audit, Implementation of Halal Certification Requirements, Halal Ingredients, Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety System and Quality Assurance.
